I'm curious, have any of you ever tried to talk cars with your mom? And what was the result? When I was little, I suppose my parents thought it was cute and I'd imagine they were glad I was into something boyish, especially if for whatever reason they were concerned I would grow up effeminate.

However, if I mention anything remotely car related to my mom now, even it it's only for a second, I would likely be responded by sighs each more exasperated than the next... which brings me to this bit.

Those that have grown to know Clarkson understand that this is not a fault, it's merely a part of the package.

Happy Mother's Day!

Since we've been talking about incredibly rare Porsches and old episodes of Top Gear, I thought I'd combine the two topics.  Conveniently, this brings us to the most recent limited edition uber-car from Stuttgart, the Carrera GT.  It just so happens to be, in my opinion, with its unique V10 whoooop whhhooooooop, the best sounding car... in the world.

I know we all dream about driving this car or one of its contemporaries, the Mclaren Mercedes SLR and Ferrari Enzo.  Still more people dream of owning an exotic like this V2 rocket.  However, very few understand what it takes to maintain a hyper car.  Well I'm here to do my civic duty as a blogger and reblog the images of Jason Tang and words of Rowan Horncastle.  Click here to see the complete list as well as more pics.

With the 17th Season of BBC's Top Gear ending not too long ago, I've gone a bit nostalgic and decided to dig around and find out where it all began for our ambitious but rubbish trio.

Here are clips of the first appearances of our three favorite presenters... in the world.

And this brings me to last November, which marked the premier of our very own Top Gear USA. What should have been exciting news was faced with immense criticism from just about everybody.

For God's sake, it's common sense to every man, woman, and child in the world that it was not going to compare to BBC's establishment. There really isn't any need for every member of every car forum to bash the television series to death.

Thankfully, the show will be back for another season yet. The United States is a country responsible for decades of heavy automotive consumption, yet the average American doesn't have a clue what it is they should be looking for in a car. Don't you think it's time we have our very own car program?

With luck, Top Gear USA will evolve to be at least as honest as its BBC counterpart so that it could keep the industry on its toes. I have a dream that one day this nation will abandon SUVs and crossovers in suburban parking lots. I have a dream that one day model bloat will be replaced with driving engagement. And, I have a dream that we will never have to see Chrysler make another Sebring convertible ever again.
